Directors and Management
Latin Gold is focused on finding and developing projects in South America. In October 2002, we established an office in Santiago, Chile, and we established our main office in Lima in early 2005. Our Operations Director, Mr. Simon Titchener resides in Lima and manages our South American activities and works with our Geological Consultants in assessing various projects.
We believe we have the right people to develop a suitable mineral project. Apart from developing our own projects, Latin Gold is happy to work in joint venture with majors and other suitable companies. Most importantly, Latin Gold, through its Chairman, Peter McAleer, and Directors Howard Dawson and Jim Malone have the capacity and structure to raise the necessary capital required to operate successfully in this region, and to take a project to completion.

Peter McAleer (Chairman)
Peter McAleer has over 37 years experience in the international natural resource industry. A lawyer by training, Peter has held executive leadership positions in exploration, development and mining operations at board and senior management level. His record includes management involvement and/or direction in the discovery and successful development of over 10 base and precious metal deposits in Europe, Australia, South America and North America, and the raising of some US$500 million to fund those activities. Peter's roles have included the following;

- Director and CEO, Ennex International PLC (Dublin, Ireland)
- Director and President, Westfield Minerals Limited (Toronto, Canada)
- Director and CEO, Whim Creek Consolidated N.L (Perth, Australia)
- Vice President, Northgate Group of Companies (Toronto, Canada)
- Director and CEO, Equatorial Mining Limited. (Sydney, Australia)
- President of Equatorial Mining-Latin America (Santiago-Chile)
He is currently Chairman of Latin Gold Ltd (Perth, Australia/Lima, Peru/Santiago, Chile), a Director of Kingsgate Consolidated Ltd (Sydney, Australia) and Kenmare Resources PLC (Dublin, Ireland)
Peter's role is to act as Chairman, provide leadership and contacts, and to help raise the necessary capital required to fund on going operations of the company.
Jim Malone (Managing Director)
Mr. Malone has worked successfully as an accountant, stockbroker, business analyst and CEO of a medium sized business for the past 19 years. Mr. Malone has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Western Australia UWA) and is an Associate of the Australian Society of CPA's. Mr. Malone joined Latin Gold Limited as a member of the management team and as a director in 2000. Prior to that Mr. Malone had worked for Arthur Anderson Accountants, Hartley Poynton Stockbrokers, CSFB and Lehman Brothers Merchant Banks in London and for the West Coast Eagles and Richmond Football Clubs, the latter as CEO from 1994 until 2000. Mr. Malone's role encompasses ongoing business development, investor relations, ASX liaison and financial management of the Company. Mr. Malone is a founding director of the Company.
Mr. Malone is also Chairman of Livingstone Petroleum Limited and a Director of Catalyst Metals Limited and Uranium King Limited.
Simon Titchener (Executive Operations Director)
Simon has 18 years experience in exploration and project development in the minerals industry including extensive drill program management, management of precious and industrial mineral development, and securing, joint venturing, and managing exploration of mining tenements. Simon has a Bachelor of Arts degree (Honours) from the University of Western Australia majoring in Industrial Relations. Simon's role encompasses the integration and management of Latin Gold's mineral and operational resources, the negotiation and management of all external agreements and to oversee Latin Gold's new project identification process in South America. Simon is based in Lima, Peru.
Howard Dawson (Technical Director)
Howard had a ten year career as a geologist before entering the Securities Industry as a research analyst in 1987. During the subsequent 15 years he fulfilled a number of complimentary roles within the Securities Industry including research, corporate advisory, business development and management. His most recent role was as State Director for ABN AMRO Morgan Limited. Howard is also Executive Chairman of Discovery Capital Limited and is Chairman of Catalyst Metals Limited and Uranium King Limited.
Mr Dawson brings to the Board of Latin Gold additional technical, financial and corporate skills which will be used to assist the Company in its existing project as well as its anticipated expansion into additional exploration and development projects within South America.
